North Carolina Saltwater Fishing Reports Great fishing across the coast of NC again this week. Offshore anglers have filled their boxes with big gaffer dolphin, tuna and a few wahoo. Some anglers are continuing to catch and release a variety of billfish. Closer to shore anglers are still picking up Spanish Mackerel, and limited catches of Cobia. Inshore, there are catches of small black drum and slot red drum, along with speckled trout and flounder. Good luck on the water!
Bill from Oregon Inlet Fishing Center reported: " June 20, 2009 Saltwater Fishing Report A beautiful day, and FISH, FISH, FISH! Offshore boats are having a really good day with Yellowfin Tuna, Gaffer Dolphin and Wahoo. Blue and White Marlin have also been caught and released today.We have also had more Big Eye Tuna caught today, including one weighing 112 lbs brought in by 13yr old Aaron Inge of Matthews, VA. Congratulations Aaron! Nearshore boats had good catches of Bluefish, Triggerfish, Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, Sea Bass and Tilefish. Inshore boats caught Spinner Sharks.
June 19, 2009 Saltwater Fishing Report Offshore excellent fishing. A mixtur of yellowfin tuna, big eye tuna and gaffer dolphin. One boat had five big eyes on at the same time and landed all five. Latter on the lad in the picture caught a 56 pound yellowfin.The bigeyes weighed 115, 120, 106, and 101 pounds. A 71 pound yellowfin was caught. Several family groups fished today. Three white marlin were caught and released. The weather was beautiful. Inshore four cobias were caught. Lots of spanish mackeral and bluefiush were caught trolling. Open boats caught striped bass, flounders and triggerfish. Miss Oregon Inlet caught flounders and sea mullet in the morning, triggerfish and flounders in the afternoon.
June 18, 2009 Saltwater Fishing Report Offshore boats caught yellowfin tunas, bigeye tunas, big gaffer dolphin and released a white marlin. One of the four big eyes caught weighed 132 pounds. Inshore boats had good spanish mackeral and bluefish fishing. The spanish mackeral outnumbered the bluefish about 3:1. Open boats caught bluefish, flounders and speckled trout in the morning, striped bass and flounders in the afternoon. An allday openboat trip caught triggerfish and dolphin. Miss Oregon Inlet while moving from one place to another in the sound had a line draging overboard wih a piece of squid on it. A good size bull dolphin could be seen following the squid. Miss Oregon Inlet had a good moring on flounders."

Trolling boats are catching Spanish and Blues. Offshore Boats Report: Excellent fishing off-shore everyday. Yellowfin, big Big-eye and Dolphin.
June 19, 2009 Saltwater Fishing Report Surf Fishing Report: Black Drum and Blues. Sound Fishing Report: Spot, Croaker, Black Drum and early morning Trout are caught from the Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway this morning.. Pier Fishing Report: Avalon: Sea Mullet and Croaker. Nags Head: Skates. Outer Banks: Spot, Croaker and Sea Mullet. Inshore Boats Report: Open boats are catching Blues, Flounder, Trout and Striped Bass. Offshore Boats Report: Blue-water anglers are catching Dolphin, Yellowfin and citation size Big-eye Tuna.
June 18, 2009 Saltwater Fishing Report Surf Fishing Report: Surf fishing was good for Buddy and Marcia Branner fishing at Coquina on Wednesday.
