Posting for a friend. I've been out on this boat and know it is a solid boat that has been VERY well taken care of.
Bayliner 2850 Contessa Command Bridge
$9,400..... Price Reduced by 500.00.... Well cared for cruiser – clean inside and out. Runs well – start boating now and spend weekends on the water. Included in the sale is everything you need to start your boating season: six life vests, dock lines, USCG approved fire extinguishers, docking bumpers and, line with anchor.
This Bayliner has 2 helms – full control on fly-bridge and can also be driven below during inclement weather. We have had this boat for 18 years. It’s been a great family boat, lots of fun - time to sell. Just about everything has been replaced on this boat over the years including upholstery, motor, and recently added new Duo-Prop with two stainless steel propellers. The full canvas was custom made and is in great shape. It’s seaworthy (runs well) and is beautiful on the inside with lots of well maintained teak. Galley has sink, two burner stove and, frig. There is a completely closed head (bathroom) with hot water shower. Boat sleeps six: the v-berth sleeps 2, 2 more when you pull out the couch and 2 in the bunk beds. That’s right bunks beds which are great for kids although adults have slept in them too. …
The motor is a Volvo 260. It was rebuilt about 250 hours ago – lots of run time remaining. As I mentioned, the drive is also a Volvo which was replaced a few years ago. The duo stainless still propellers were added last year at a cost of 1,000 – not cheap.
The boat was bottom painted prior to launch – the out drive was also serviced.
The boat can be seen at my house in Aquia Harbour, Stafford, VA.
