Description: I am offering my 2000 Grady 208 for sale. It is equipped with a Lowrance 8" hard disk screen, fishfinder / GPS and has the cables needed to add radar. Just put a new VHF for better reception. Boat also comes with a 2006 Vantage 5200# dual axle trailer. Went with a stronger trailer yet the aluminum frame keeps the weight down. Tow this with my V8 Jeep and find it to be a very well balanced trailer. Boat is equipped with a 2000 Yamaha 225 fuel injected motor with a stainless prop. I believe there are around 300 hours on the engine. Boat runs near 40 but I run it around 4000 rpm's which gets me in the high 20's - low 30's depending on conditions. I love the fact that this boat has the extended bow rail and pulpit which makes the boat look even longer and the anchor always rests in the cradle. Boat has a full enclosure as well as the cockpit cover. My friends tease me because the enclosure is hanging in the garage and I dont use it much so not to get it dirty. The same goes for the cushions. They are all in a large box on a shelf and in great condition. When I use the boat I dont sit much or I just sit in the captains chair so why subject the cushions to the weather... Boat runs excellent. The only reason we are even considering selling is that our last child has left the roost so its just me and the wife and she is suggesting something with a more formal cabin so we can 'do things together' with more comfort (for her)...looking at the Parker 25 so you have the bench seat in the hard cabin but.....its not a Grady... Nothing beats a Grady for ride and safety and I love this boat to death...it has brought me home through a few rough days without ever disappointing me. Price negotiable with a serious buyer. Description: This all-fiberglass version of the famous Simmons Sea Skiff has been restored over the last 6 months at Tidewater Small Craft. The deck has been replaced and center console added, as well as new seating, engine, steering, fuel filter, bilge pump, and navigation lights. The engine is a 2004 40 hp Mercury 2-stroke which starts immediately and runs well. The engine was recently restored by Don at Sports Marine in Newport News, with new fuel pump, water impeller, and clean carbs. The motor sits in a well inside the stern of the boat. This design allows the boat to run through inlets and other bad weather conditions where breaking waves from astern could easily swamp a typical outboard setup. It also protects nets, fishing lines and other stern rigging that can foul in your propeller. Cobia fishing comes to mind, where the fish leads you round and round the boat during a long fight. In exchange, you lose interior space and some low-speed maneuverability. It comes with a trailer which is nothing special, but works fine to get it down the road and back.
