This is a metal rack that attaches to a trailer hitch and provides additional storage outside of your vehicle. The rack is a Draw-Tite brand with a 300-lb weight capacity. It is 48.5" wide and 20" deep. The bottom is made of heavy steel mesh. The arm is sized to fit a 1-1/4" hitch receiver. If your vehicle has the larger 2" receiver, you can get an adaptor for about $30.
We used the rack several times when going to the beach for a week to haul coolers, beach chairs, etc. We recently got a new car; now neither car has a trailer hitch, so the rack is not needed.
The comparable new version of the rack costs about $139. The asking price for my slightly used rack is $75.
