must not have a lot of bass fishermen around this area. i fish suffolk, franklin, north carolina, and the northern va. area. i try to report my trips and catches but don't allways get it done. i have a lot of tournys coming up and this is the best time of the season to fish. bass are stacked up and we fish all winter for them. catch and release. tight lines everybody and be safe on the water.

Hey Yost how's the Nottoway looking ? Probably a dumb question because of more rain as we speak ! I have caught a few decent bass out of there in the spring and summer and I usually fish it in the fall for channels but the flood messed it up so I have been doing the saltwater thing. I fished last decmeber for cats when it was COLD and never got a hit. Thanks

The thing with the chesapeake bay area, is there is more than one type of fishing to do here. I think alot of people fish the bay and its tributaries for saltwater fish, and maybe bass fish if they can't go out on the bay.

I haven't been bass fishing lately, because the local WSSC reservoirs have both been closed due to low water levels from dam repairs. I have been out on the bay a few times in the same time period though.

I wish I had more opportunity to go bass fishing, but it just doesn't usually work out that way.
