Friday: Started NE of 2R, not many marks, heard of lots of chatter around Silver Beach. Finally heard a solid report, and headed over there. Lots of boats, few birds, but managed to catch a few fish before the bite died. Began running and gunning a little, finally found a good group of birds sorta between 42 and the CB; had 3 30+in fish on at once (with 2 people in the boat), which kept it interesting for a while. Umbrella was the hot lure today.

Saturday: Began heading S, and found a group of birds E of 41A, began working them. Caught a bunch of smaller fish (up to 24"). Began looking around, and saw a very large group of birds S of Wolftrap. Ran over there, and there were about 2 acres of birds looking, and sporadically diving. Worked the general area for the rest of the day (from probably 1000- 1400) catching 20+ nice fish, releasing 6+ slot fish, and a 40". Had a 4-person limit of 'good eatin sized' fish,(22-28") plus a nice 36". We were all alone for the majority of the day, with maybe 4-5 other boats working the general area. Heard of good bites over at 42 with the "armada" in full effect. The fish weren't picky today. Large fish were caught up top, and down deep. Largest fish was caught on a small "hot lips" bucktail on a 10lb outfit- put on a very nice fight.

Got a couple days on land, then will be back looking for em again Thursday and Friday.

Tight lines,
Jay
