Hi Fellow MSSA Members:

Has onyone seen the new fishing regulations booklet for 2007? If you have does it address the regulations for Rockfish fishing in 2007 and what are these regs?

I am also told that that "The Chesapeake Fishing ans Outdoor Expo" is more slanted to the fisherman i.e. not boating, than the "Annual Fishing Expo and Boat Show" at Timonium. Any opinons, i.e. I'm not interested in a new boat this year but very interested in fishing tackle.

The Striper Regs aren't out yet. I'm sure there'll be a big announcment when they are released. Stay tuned.

The Outdoor expo is good... a lot of tackle. You'll enjoy it.

The 2007 reg. for Maryland Spring season will be determind at the ASMFC meeting in Va. on January 29th. DNR will announce rockfish reg. early February however I feel that the fishery will open as usual on the third weekend in April (April21). MSSA wil hold their annual spring tournament the first weekend in May (4-5-6) 2007.

Sommer Time,

Th eTimonuim show is going more tackle each and every year. There's a lot of tackle diplays all around the perimeter of the building. The MSSA will also have a booth threer. I'm working on Saturday from open tunil 3:00 PM so stop by and say Hi.

The Tackle expo in Upper Marlboro also a great show. George does a great job every year. Why not go to all of them! It's a great way to beat the winter blues.

The MSSA Chapter 19 Fishing Fair (scheduled 24-25 March 2007) in Solomon's Island is also a great place to get everything you need for the 2007 Rockfish season.
