My wife and I just purchased a summer place in the Long Neck area. A part of me wants to get started learning to fish in my new back this spring. Another part of me wants to fish the trophy rockfish season on the Chesapeake Bay. When do the stripers start to run in the Indian River Inlet? I have a 23’ center console so I can fish the inlet or inshore. I’ve had good success fishing the Bay in the spring but if I thought I could have anywhere near the success fishing the inlet or nearby I’d rather fish there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
