I take it everyone is working their tail's off instead of fishing.......I am doing a stretch of vacation relief for my boss at our office here in Alexandria. On the road at 0730 and home by 1930, its no way to live:censored: Its during these times that I seriously appreciate my semi-free afternoons to get outside and get on the water. Has anyone else done anything???, Bueller, Bueller......

I was thinking the same thing, Clancy... a little cold weather and everyone goes dormant :))
Hopefully this spell of chilly air will break soon and the fishing will be off the hook. Glad to hear you got out last weekend... that must've been cold... especially when the fish aren't biting hot and heavy.
BTW: When is your flats trip with Skip?

Its not this Friday but next. We've got our fingers crossed big time that we can have a with as much action as last year. It looks like things are starting to pick up, but it also looks like a few more rain events are coming our way so who knows. Is your steering back in action???

It's in the works... hopefully will be ready by the end of the week.
As long as we don't get too much rain the flats should be perfect next week. If it gets muddied up, then of course all bets are off.
Hopefully the water will stay clean and warm up a bit by then.
Congrats, by the way... yours is the first boat in slip... you can tell the true fishermen! :D

I'm always the first in and the last out. That just the way it goes down there, in fact most boats down there rarely go out if ever at all. I'm gonna have to get the bottom painted but I am going to leave it in until after our tourney.

It is sloooww. Not many fishin this week from the sounds of the reports. Still getting some things "ship shape" on my boat - worked on the trailer last weekend - brakes kept locking up on one side (:censored: trailer brakes!!). Testing all the pumps yesterday, I found a split in the line for my forward bilge pump - funny the pump isn't very effective when it shoots the water right back into the boat :D .
Hoping to get out on Friday and drag a little plastic through the water. At least the cool water temp will keep the spawn from a quick ending. April 29 should be a good day

I leave for Ft Lauderdale at first light tomorrow. :whistlingatu:
If Larrys wind machine takes a rest for about 5 days, I hope to do some fishing. ;-)
