Hey guys... sorry for not posting about the results of Sundays "Outing"... it was GREAT to hang with everyone again. My only complaint is that the raft-ups always seem to end too soon :))

Congrats to Team Lost Sailor for their excellent win... that makes 2 in a row for Mr. VP UnclJohn... Well done, guys! UJ: If you take the Mid-Summer Classic you'll be hard to beat for "SRRKC Fisherman of the Year"!!!

VERY Honorable Mention goes to Team Get The Net... Billy has finally broken the SRRKC keg barrier... what a great setup... amazingly it wasn't even that foamy after having been driven around the bay all morning! Awesome, Billy... I look forward to seeing your "how-to" article in an upcoming issue of The Fisherman magazine

This Thursday is our monthly gathering. We had talked about moving to another location where we can actually hear each other. I haven't scouted out the new Boatyard room that JPW talked about... we could always go back to Griffin's West, but at this point, I'm leaning toward leaving it at Ram's Head one more month and then finding a good spot starting in June (like "on-the-water" meetings!!!)

If anyone has any other opinions please keep them to yourself... er... um... I mean... please voice them here and now. :pp

Wherever we end up, I'm looking forward to seeing ya'll again and talkin' some fishin!

JP mentioned that the Boatyard had a new meeting room...

Last time I was at the Roadhouse, I wanted to punch the azz behind me that was yelling so loud I couldn't hear what Capt Reynolds was trying to tell us about ersters.

If it were a place where I could actually hear you conducting the meeting, I'd go for it.

Of course... the draft would have to be Miller Lite and it would have to be COLD! :D

The only "Lite" draft at the BB&G is Fordham Light (not bad stuff, even for amber ale fans), but I agree w/ Kevin about finding someplace quieter where we can actually hear each other. I'm getting deaf in my old age and really would like to enjoy everybody's company--as well as pearls of fishin' wisdom. Thus I vote for the Boatyard Market NOW.

Larry, do you still want me to bring the underwater grasses guides to hand out? I was in Rideout Creek today and noticed some horned pondweed. Would love to get some discussion going about fishing our river's great grass beds.

I'm OK with a change - - any place that has a cold beer is good with me :D .

Is parking an issue at Boatyard? (Roadhouse is bad enough..) Never been there, but driving by, the on-site lot looked pretty small.

Yeah, Ralph... that's always been a concern of mine, as well... especially with all the "big rigs" a lot of guys drive. It's pretty tight in their lot, and there's rarely any spaces left.

Ram's Head Roadhouse it is... we'll scout out the Boatyard for next month... 7:00-ish till the fishin' stories are done.

See ya' then!

I may not get there until after 8:30 because my daughter has her spring chorus concert tonight. Nevertheless, my laptop is ready to go and I will make an appearance.
