A friend of mine has a new boat close to the Yeocomico and is new to the area. The dealer installed a Garmin GPS but it came without the list of waypoints that were included when I had mine installed by the electonics dealer in Hartfield. Any suggestions how he could get them for his GPS? I don't know the exact model but it is flush mounted at the helm so it would not be easy to take anywhere.

I'm pretty sure that Marine Electronics in Hartfield would give you, a previous customer, a printout of the waypoints they installed in your GPS. Your buddy could then, laboriously, program them into his Garmin GPS one at a time. The other, faster, way is to hook up GPS to computer pre-loaded with waypoints, hit go and stand back!

Kevin does have the print out of his coordinates at Hartfield. Just a very long process trying to manually enter them. The com port on one of my GPS's died so I had to go through the list and put in the ones that I thought I might need and it took forever. If it is a newer model it might have some kind of removable memory card that could be taken in to get the waypoints put on it.
