By a vote of 4-3 the application for proposed Indigo Dunes development at Pleasure House Point (Lynnhvaen Inlet, Virginia Beach, VA) was denied by the Wetlands Board!
Although an appeal by the developer is likely, the vote was a big win on behalf of wetlands protection and the Lynnhaven River over hi-density development at the water front.
Hopefully this project is dead and means status quo for public access to Pleasure House Creek as well. One comment we/VCAN made to the board was the alternative environmental and public uses of the property should the City buy the property from the owner in the future.
