I fished Ocean City today from 2:00 to 5:30. I caught two fish 10" and 23", both on chicken breast. The tide was ripping in the entire afternoon. The water was 6" over the dock when I got back to the ramp. It looks like the next few days the fishing will suffer due to spring tides and the new moon on the 15th.

Nice flatty. I went out the same day from 9-2, only had one 10" and nothing else. Should of stayed out longer!. But hey a day fishing is better than a day at work.

How were you rigging your chicken breast? I'd never heard of that, although I have heard of greasy bloody duck breast for hardhead.

They've been using chicken breast in the delaware bay for years, and I ve used it with good success in tangier sound as well. Fresh not frozen, dont wash it, strip it, chunk it ,hook it. It stays on suprizingly well, and trout love it, as do rock and hard heads and blues of course. First time ive heard of using it for fluke, but it dosent surprize me. Some folks soak it in peeler oil. "Perdue peelers"

I cut it in chunks and use it in conjunction with bucktails, skirts, jigs, SW Assasins, curly tail grubs and worms etc. The chicken probably does not attract the flounder by sight as much as the bucktails or skirts, but they must really like the smell.
