Set out early A.M. hoping to get to Blackberry Hang area for Spanish followed by bottom fishing. Wind much higher than predicted. Rounding Smith Point, south wind got to be too much so headed back up river. Off Vir-Mar Beach in 35-40' blind trolled into concentrated large (for our area) blues and scattered Spanish. Caught and released 3-5 lb. blues until we tired of it with just two Spanish. Back to the barn at noon.
Most and largest blues caught on neutral color surgical tube on 16' leader following a 6 oz. in line. Clark mackeral chains and drones did the rest, all on #1 planes.
Very little bird action today. Did see a number of Pelicans diving. fair number of rainfish schools.

Thanks for the report. I'm going to try to get out Thyrsday afternoon to see if I can catch a few. Did you see anybody doing anything up by 7 or 9.

Nut, fished that area on Tuesday evening with no luck. No bird activity. Flat zero. Some earlier posts by others indicate significant activity.

Coan Ranger, thanks for the report. Will be out this weekend if the weather permits it. So far the forecasts look good. Will be looking for surface feeding fish and trolling for some spanish.

Coan Ranger. Thanks for the reply. Forecast for this evening is pretty poor. But I'm coming out of Smith Creek on the MD side. If the wind doesn't get to high I'll give it a try atleast on the MD side. Now Friday sounds pretty good. I'm off all day so I hope to fish most of the day. I'll let you know if I do any good.

I found big concentrations of bait just south of # 11 on sun. afternoon, one hit but got off had bait all over though from bottom to top in 20 ft. of water. If I didn't have the wife I would have trolled around all day.
