Mike stopped by on Sunday morning, about 9:00 and said that the weather looked good so why don't we try an overnighter offshore in the Baltimore. I said sure, but we have to get someone else to go. Mike called his buddy Eric and his son Joey and they said they would be glad to go as they had never been out in the ocean overnight. We decided we would play it by sight, go out the inlet and have a look see before we made a final decision.

Since we now have a much smaller boat we are a little skeptical and have decided we would not go out unless the weather is perfect. We have been out so many times when it turned real nasty.

Anyway, when we got to O.C. it was blowing about 15 knots and we decided we would go wreck fishing and in the morning, if it looked good, we would head out to the Baltimore. We got to O.C,. about 1:30, and got everything loaded on the boat. Mike was talking to one of the boat owners in the Marina and asked him if he had any wreck numbers. He gave Mike a whole list. So, we headed out and stopped about 15 miles out and started fishing. In about 2 minutes, Mike had a nice Flounder. We fished until about 7:30, after we had caught our limit of 16 Flounder. We caught lots of small Sea Bass also, but did not keep any.

It was dark by the time we got in, cleaned the boat and headed to Fenwick Island, where Eric has a trailer. Stayed there overnight and believe me, it was a lot more comfortable than spending the night on the boat.

Yesterday, we headed back to O.C. and since the Flounder fishing was so good on Sunday and there wasn't any Tune bite being reported, we headed out to where we were the day before. We again caught our limit of Flounder. This time, we threw lots of legal Flounder back with the idea that we would only keep larger ones.

Here are a couple of pictures of our catch.

What wreck were you on and what bait did you use?
Thanks, John

Dead Eye, I don't know what wreck we were on, but it was about 13 miles off the beach. We were using squid, although the first one was caught on a 7" Chartreuse Bass Assassasin.
