Hello:
New here. Moved to the river earlier this summer. Have 2002 Trophy in Clements Creek.
Have not fished the river in many years and want to get back into it.
Can you folks give some advice on gear and tackle used for best resuts?
Thanks,
Bill

First piece of equipment you will need is one large cooler stocked with ice and Natty Boh!

Seriously, Welcome! It really depends on time of year, species, and techniques as to what you will need. Search around for some reports and you may get an idea. If you are planning on targeting some thing specific like trolling for Rockfish let us know. There are some excellent fisherman on this board that will be more than willing to help you out!
Again welcome and tight lines.......

Get a good detailed chart of the Severn and attend our next meeting. Most guys will point out good spots to try plus which lures/bait to use. With cooler weather finally here-the Severn fishing will get good. You're in a great location-mid river  .

Light spinning gear will work 90% of the time.I troll near the Naval academy in Nov. but most times it's casting lures or using live bait. Skip
