Landed my personal best ever in the bay. Non-stop action all day, lotsa throwbacks still. This fish whooped me on 40# line with a musky rod and the drag locked down as hard as I could get it on a penn 209 he was still pulling line. Man I love these fish. No one had any green crabs so we were using as many sand fleas as we could fit on a hook. He was 25" and I'd guess 8 or 9#'s?

I thought that one you hooked was gonna pull you in! He snapped that 40# braid like it was dental floss.

Hopefully he'll be in the same spot this weekend. :D
I'm using an 80 bent butt next time.

Capt. Monty is still having a tough time getting the seabass. Thats not good cause he's the best. We were catching a crapload of seabass while togging in the bay (right Greg;-) ) and some of them were close to keeper size.
