Fluke season

Does anyone know if they are going to extend the season for summer flounder next year? I missed out this year - I spent 2 weeks in cape cod, but it was in late May & 1st week of June. I am hoping that they open the season up again - does anyone know if they will - or why they went from open all year to only 2 months?
