I know it was a lousy game and in fact I stopped watching mid way through the 3rd quarter. What got to me is how through most of the game they kept' refering to the colts of old and their history here in Baltimore and the lousy way Irsay screwed us sneaking away in the middle of the night. I was only in High school when that went down, but was a pretty hardcore fan by then, so I was just as pissed of as anyone else. It just seemed as if they were saying the Colt's should still be here almost not even acknowledging that they are in Indianapolis now. In fact while going to a commercial break, they referred to them as the "Old Baltimore Team". I kind of had mixed feelings about all of this , on one hand it seemed like they were almost shaming Indianapolis for stealing our team, which i thought was funny and I hope it pissed them off over there. On the other hand however, the reality is they are not our team and haven't been for over 20 years the fact they are now a great team, but not ours is almost like rubbing our faces in it especially considering the current state of the Ravens. I know this has nothing to do with fishing, but was just wondering if anyone else had an opinion on this.

i was only 3years old when the colts left baltimore so i really dont' remember them as the baltimore colts but it seems the nfl has had a huge grudge against baltimore since then. From us getting screwed from the expansion team to the lousy calls weve been getting since the browns came to baltimore and became the ravens. Cleveland was allowed to keep the teams name and history in Cleveland which i never understood since art modell owned the franchise Why couldnt baltimore keep the colts name and history? I would love to see the ravens be renamed the colts someday but i doubt that would ever happen. All in all i believe this is just another way for nfl to slap baltimore in the face yet again including all the footage of the colts leaving and references to them leaving. just my opinion

Huh....Well, I was in Maryland when the Colts left in the middle of the night and I was in Ohio, in Browns country (anything North of Columbus) when Modell sold out half the state and moved, and I always thought it was ironic that Baltimore benefited from Modell's slimy move...
Baltimore was once a blue collar city, that was the city that lost the Colts, and Ohio -- Cleveland, Youngstown, Warren, the list goes on and on -- is a rustbelt surrounded by farmland. Those are hard people that fell on hard times and yet still went to the polling booth and approved a new stadium for Art to have which is all he said he wanted so he could sell sky boxes to rich folks, but of course the problem was ol' Art had already cut the deal for the old Browns two days previous...So one of the oldest franchises in NFL history moved...
If Baltimore wept when the Colts moved you could have put half the state of Ohio on suicide watch when that Ravens deal came down. I knew a guy, typical John Mellencamp americana lyrics subject, tough farm boy, busted his ass his entire life, salt of the earth, living in an old farmhouse in the middle of Bumwad, Ohio, he wasn't farming, the land was sold, he worked in some two-bit assembly plant to make ends meet...And guess what he got for Chrstmas the year before the Raven's deal came down? A bowling ball in Browns colors with the helmet and all stenciled in. In a place where the work is hard, the weather looks like something out of the Siege of Stalingrad half the year, and their ain't much hope for anything different, a few hours on a Sunday rooting for a team your dad and grand dad rooted for is a pretty big deal. It's an even bigger deal when a grown man lights up like a 8 year old on Christmas day because of a bowling ball his wife got him (she was beaming too that morning) and then that team betrays the people that have supported them all those years and supported them right up until the end (see the stadium deal above)...
So you know what? I remember the hard feelings in Baltimore and I shared those feelings. Irsay is a putz...But Irsay can't hold a candle to Art Model...I like Baltimore, I don't like how they got their team, and I particularly don't like hearing their fans whine about how they might be getting a bad deal about anything, because the Baltimore Ravens by definition were and are a bad deal...
Memories were long in Baltimore concerning the Colts, they are at least as long in Ohio...
The cheerleaders did good.

Colts, Browmns, Rams, Ravens, whoever... Regardless of the lip service, it's all about MONEY. We surfs have NO say with the owners, players or the league. BIG money drives the train.

Without fans there is no money, big or otherwise...

I was there, it started raining as soon as the Colts went up 21-0. I was home by the 3rd quarter.
