Went out in and around the inlet for 3 hours on sunday. Caught 1 winter flounder 15" and 3 short stripers 19-24". outside air temp was 42-45 deg. f. and water temp was 44.7 deg f. very calm seas and overcast.
Saw several boats out with 3 different boats landing fish. tide was outgoing and water was clear.
Striper are in for sure! Did not see any birds working or a Blitz but steady striper action was apparent.
my boat is out for the year :(
Even though gas was $160 for the day (truck and boat)with no fish in the box it was a great day.
