190 striped marlin in a day

In Cabo on Dec 9th. The boat had an observer on board. It had 140 the day before, bringing a two day total to 330. Two weeks before it set the world record at 179. Check out the lower pics of the bill stuck through the tuna tubes/hull.

I'm wondering how many hours was the boat fishing when they caught 190 ?? Was it a tourney ?? Seems so.

If they fished 8 hours that is 1 fish per 2.5 minutes............... guess some could be doubles and triples........ but regardless, a great feat. I've heard that to get great numbers in some qualifying tourneys, they touch the leader and cut line ...... wonder if this was the case in this instance to increase the catches ??
