Can anyone give me some info on the fishing at Lake Murray? I will be in Prosperity later this week and will have access to 20 ft. cc while i'm there. Would like to catch a few stripers. Any "hot spots", techinques, baits, lures etc. would be appreciated.
I will be coming from the upper chesapeake bay in DE/MD area.
Would it be better to post this on the freshwater board?

Thanks, Gary

I live in Columbia sc. I fish Lake Murray as my primary lake . I haven't been much latley because I just got back from fishing at the CBBT. I am going in the morning. The latest report I've seen is that the Stripers are schooling some from Dreher ISland to Bomb Island. I don't use live bait but the ones that do use live herring or large shinners. I use the large bucktails or Bas Assassin on heavy jig . I haven't tried this yet but I think sting silvers will work also they work well at CBBT. If you find them schooling on top lucky craft jerk baits do very well. When are you coming down?
