Anyone venture out to that break?

Might be a good sign? If people talk too much there is no bite, if they dont talk at all the bite is top secret and dont want to share it. Hope we get a report soon. I cant go anyhow so I wont steal the good bite....promise. Martin:D

I understand the troll bite was loads of fat alberts. Don't know about the bottom bouncers but I'm interested in how bad the dogs are.

I never made it out to the canyons or the temp break. I did make it out about 30 miles and said to myself "There's no way in hell I'm going to ride for another hour." So I dropped lines right there and was a dog fish magnet. It was kind of cool to hook a fish then see all his buddies follow him up. They would hang around until the hooked fish started thrashing.

B8 I think the silence means no bonanza...

Chatter on the radio was loads of alberts and blue fish, some makos and I think I heard of one bluefine hooked up. Doggies are normal, stay on the wreck or use your machine and it's ok. Drop blind and pay the price.

I don't know how Trax finished the day as we left around noon and he was still fishing the canyon....but all we caught were tons of Fat Alberts...must've caught about 30...tons of sharks mostly Hammerheads....Dave had 1 large Mako on the line early but he got bit off...48 - 67 degree temp break....water steel grey looking....birds, porpoise, whales, tons of squid....longline gear all over the place....probably would be a great bet to drop for swords but there ain't no Tuna out there less the False albies right now....fished from the canyon to the 420 line 40 fathoms to 500 fathoms.....Bob

As Bob said loads of albies evey where you went but no tuna bites for us. That big mako would have made our day but he pulled off after a brief pull. Gave the boys the option of running in early but Tommy Tuna (out of MD.) and Pesistence Glenn (out of Richmond) wanted to keep at it so we ran south to the 350 and proceeded to catch more... Albies down there. I love fishin' with guys that want it as bad as me. Nice day on the water- needed a day away from the stripers. Dave

I'll level with you, I would not have argued if you wanted to go in :) but no way was I going to say "I WANT to go in" ha ha ha
We tried hard (as usual) and it's always an adventure. The break looks nice...it has all of the ingredients just not the main course.
Thanks again for the trip. I felt like death last night but feel much, much better this morning.

At least you gave it a try...
We were deep dropping and I had a spread and hoos ready if I heard of anything that sounded good.
It was a great day to be out on the water!!!
Thanks for the report!!!
