Crew was Mike T. (mikeinbox), Jason (Jgray), James (WEormDangler) and myself rpack76.:bigfish:Running from Smithfield takes its toll on everyone so south with the reports today was out of the question:nono:. The plan was to leave Smithfield and hit the Smith Island Flats for a bit of eeling and I am glad we did:clap::clapping2:. The fishing was slow but consistent with plenty of the dogfish mixed in:yawn: but we were catching fish. Mangaed to get our eight fish limit inside of about eight hours today but every fish was a beauty:whistlingatu: Smallest fish went 42" and the largest at 49":rockingman2: Got to tell you I have never seen the ocean as slick calm as it was today with virtually no wind:28: beautiful day on the water. One thing that burns me though is this jacka** on the radio who was broadcasting reports but refused to tell us where he was:52:. He did mention he was in 25' of water and hooked up. Seriously, is it that big a secret. Anyhow, back at the dock by 5 and dinner and a couple beers at the :soapbox:wonderful Smithfield Station:chugbeer::eatdrink::beergood:. Time for a :seeu3: and some :zzzzzz: Anyhow I think these smileys are :roflguy::rockingman2: hope they don't :poke1: anyone else bc we laughed about them all day.

Great report and nice fish there. How much did the 49" weigh? We managed 11 to day in the 38 to 42 inch range but nothing as big as yours.

Thanks for the great report!! Congrats on a great haul! I was just riding in my new boat today and had the radio on...I heard the same jacka$$ talking about the hot bite in "25' of water". In reality he had nothing in the box and he was in the middle of a hundred other boats:D:D:D
