Fort Monroe, Langley, Sunset, Public One on Chesapeake Blvd, couple on beach road in Fox Hill
I think you need military ID on Langley but not on Fort Monroe.

Only on the weekends in the summer months. Still, there are usually parking spaces available even then. Just takes a little longer to launch your boat. Might want to check out Willoughby Spit ramp at the foot of the HRBT on the Norfolk side as well. Stay away from Peterson's, Sunset and Fort Monroe---quite often not very good places to launch. This is the only the one on Beach Road.

I use the ramp at the park on Rockwell Rd, pretty decent and brings you out of Back River

There is a ramp in Gosnolds (spelling?) Park in Hampton. Low tide is tight but from what I hear it's ok if you proceed slow....put's you into Back River. It's worth a couple more miles to put out of Wallaces....IMHO.......:fishing2:

Due to the silting in of the entrance channel coming into the ramp at Gosnolds Hope Park, the channel is very narrow and shallow. If two boats meet going in opposite directions in the channel there may not be enough room to pass one another. The city is to dredge this channel this spring, however. Parking at this ramp is also very, very limited.

Hey Getaway,
Can you elaborate on issues with Ft. Monroe? Other than limited dock space. I have a 24 Albe and was considering lauching there this year. I've seen Sunset at low tide or shall I say no tide................I agree Willoughby is fine, used it last year.
