Fishing has changed a bit over the last 2 weeks at Oregon Inlet. This past weekend, little was caught except barely legal Yellowfin Tuna and Mahi that were so small it was embarrassing to keep them.

One Blue Marlin was released by the fleet.

Sea conditions were decent on Saturday but Sunday was pretty lumpy. Winds did shift to the SouthWest but the season change is not complete.

June Bug will fish at Oregon Inlet for two more weeks and then we plan to bring her back to New Jersey a little early this year to get ready for the summer season.

I appreciate the report. We have been trying to find a weather window to fish OI along with getting favorable reports on the bite. Looks like it would be best to wait another week or so. What do you think?

Fish have fins and tails. New fish come through every day. I think last week was unusual since most years' have plenty of nice sized fish at this time of year.

If the weather let's you fish, I'd go if it were me.
