Been busy and not reporting here or on my website as I should but better late than never. We haven't broke 250 keeper croaker on a trip yet but have come close with 225. Croakers seem to be smaller and less concentrated than in years past as we catch 5 to 25 and have to move to get the nicer fish biting again. We've been catching lots of small ones but have found by fishing shrimp we have been catching a better grade of fish especially when we combo it up with bloodworms. As for where their biting its day to day but we have been catching well around the Red Barns, Old Bouy 9 and the White house in all depths of water from 14 to 40 feet. We fished the Mortico Bar to Garretts area Monday with some nice cats and bigger croakers. It lookes to me like the futher you fish upriver the better the bite. Not many fishermen fishing I guess becuase of the price of gas but I hope this helps you guys that are fishing as I know a bad or lack luster day stings a little more now that gas had gone throught he roof. There are some big croaker over at b42 area on the eastern flats. Just be careful, because I'm sure there are nets there as well.

We caught a lot of Croaker up to 15 1/2" in the middle of the bay last Saturday. I was about 1 mile west
of buoy 53(3rd gate of the cut channel). Squid seemed to be the Bait of choice , although a few were caught on shrimp also.

Always look forward to your reports. Thinking about trying to catch a few small croakers and putting them on a leash for Mr. Rockfish in the Urbana area.
