Trolled Friday and Saturday mornings looking for Spanish. No luck, but bluefish bonaza. 20+ fish in an hour on Friday and the same on Saturday. #2 planers with anything silver. (Clarkspoons, droons, tsumanis, hopkins) The fish ate anything we through at them. Ended up each day only running 2 rods, didn't need anymore. Fun pullage for me and my sons.

How big were they? I was out Wednesday evening and all of the blues were dinks.

just a thought, most of the time if you aren't trolling fast enough you will only catch blues. thanks for the report. i got on here today looking for a spanish report off of windmill as i am heading that way on sat. maybe things will pick up.

Took my daughter out yesterday to windmill point and picked up 82 blues in 2 1/2 hours. She had the best time catching those fish. They were dinks, but fun. Solid action the entire 2 1/2 hours from 1:30 to 4:00pm. We left them still biting from the light all the way out to R2 and beyond in 40+ feet.
I ran a #1 and a #2 planer with silver and gold clarks. The fish were so small, the #2 planer wouldn't trip. So everytime the #1 tripped, we reeled in the number #2, which usually had a fish on it.
Saw no spanish at all, even bumping the speed up to 7mph.

Same luck here!!! My thinking is that the spanish are still in warmer water. Best water we could find at the mouth of the Rap. was 79 deg.
