Departed Rudee 7/13/08 0545hrs on the ski by myself. Went straight to CLT
and speared 4 nice spades by 0715 hrs. I then proceded to work the bouy
line looking for cobia. I stopped at 6 sets of bouys, all but two had small
cobia under them. All had bait fish and some had trigger fish as well. I caught
two small ones on bucktails, both about 30" released for another day. The
cobia would follow me as I went around the buoys. I took a couple of pics
that did not come out very well but you can see a couple. Back at Rudee 1000hrs. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg115/JetSkiBrian/IMGA0262.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg115/JetSkiBrian/IMGA0270.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg115/JetSkiBrian/IMGA0269.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg115/JetSkiBrian/IMGA0279.jpg

That's not a bad day! Always nice to get in a quick dive, and then have time to go catch some too.

All of the cobia I saw were small. I am looking forward to the larger ones coming around.
