Charleston Harbor in late september?

Looking to do some fishing in the harbor area in late september. What is the best bet at that time. Looking for hot light tackle bite or patiently bait fishing for large fish. Will have access to a boat so fishing range is within 20 miles of the harbor.

Its good,,,I like Oct better.
The menhaden and mullet will still be here,,use them on the bottom with a carolina rig.

I will try that, what type and size fish would I expect to catch. Should I try the jetty?
