I am thinking of putting a remote controlled light on my Sailfish 218wa boat for some night time nav for fishing. Which one makes more sense? GO-lite makes a flood - 60' x 80' or a spot - 850' Both are 6,500,000 candle power.
Also the web site says could be an issue with interference with the radio and the wireless
control. The wireless uses 433mhz.....do you think that should be a issue with the radio?

Anyone have any experience with these lights.

All opinions and suggestions are appreciated

thanks

There are combo Flood/Spot lights on the market. Situations will present the need for each. Flood lights aren't popular with the boats anywhere in front of you and spots are too narrow to easily find an entrance bouy. Not to make recommendatons, but I have a Guest wired remote combo that I'm content with and it was not extremely expensive. Plan to paint it with Awlgrip or some good epoxy after a year or two exposure. Guest scrimps on the weathering quality of plastics.
Hint. Mount the fixture so that NONE of the direct illumination is on the boat decks--especially forward of the winshield. For example, my center console used the T-Top to shadow the forward part of the boat. The light is nearly useless when the glare blinds your eyes.
