Can somebody tell me what size treble hooks you use to snag menhaden to use for bait?Do you buy them already weighted or do you add your own weight? THANK YOU

I use a 5 preweighted treble. You can go bigger if needed. There are some big menhaden and bunker around.

Hey I know a guy that can get them for you with out the big holes around cape cod. Snagging is a bitch and they die really fast if theres blood in the water(trying to keep alive)

You can also rig 2 large trebles on short droppers about 12-18" apart with a 3-4 oz sinker on the end, twice the meat, over 3/4 of the bunker we snag live ok, the rest get chunked on the night tide.

Snaging is legal up there? Here in MD and I believe Va it is illegal.
