Hello All,
Weather permitting, plan to fish out of OI on Oct 18 & 19. Outbound will be near low tide, and from another thread it looks like the buoys may not be accurate and the bars have moved. I draw about 3 feet (Albemarle 24) and have not been through OI for 2 years. Trying to decide if I can do it and the best route.
Checked OREGON INLET (http://www.saw.usace.army.mil/nav/OREGON.htm) for the latest soundings. They did it on Sep 29... They also proposed a route / set of waypoints. Their route passes through a 4 foot deep area. It looks like it is much deeper to run to the south end of the bridge, then out. True???
Can you get under the bridge there (Albe 24)?
The other posts mentioned "the crack". Is this it, or is the crack something else?
Hopefully I have attached ( or Uploaded) a chunk of the USCAE data: OIbridgeEast.jpg
If that dos not work try here: http://www.albe24.com/misc/oi_east.jpg
Any comments and suggestions?
Thanks much,
Woody
