When I turn my unit on, a message comes up that the GPS module is now responding. Does anyone know what this means and how I might fix it or get it fixed. Thanks

This usually means that you GPS antennae does not have power. Check your fuse and then connections and make sure there is no corrosion. Check the Lowrance website ..... they usually have a pretty good self diagnostic routine. Also check the software, some models let you test the current from the module. If it still doesn't work then call Lowrance ........ could be the GPS antennae (I'm assuming it is an external) .......
Hope this helps ........ happened to me ........ had a corroded plug socket on the cable ...... the test showed low current ....... traced everything back and it looked good ........ tried it again and the same thing ......... main unit (DF) and hooked it up on my other boat and it worked fine ......... checked the cable and it had a corroded socket ....... cleaned the socket and has worked ........ checked the current and it was good ......... has worked fine since
