Hi all,
Haven't been to the area in over 20yrs. and am planning a trip for Mother's day week to Wachapreague. Would like to get some info on the area. Specifically looking for a possible half day in-shore charter, any info on public access fishing areas as well as possible surf fishing area/info. If you have any info and would like to help out, please send a PM.
Thanks in advance

Scavenger, Click the link above. The header of that page is a picture of the entire town. Great place. They have all the bases covered; rooms, food, rental boats, bait & fish. There are also a small handfull of houses on the island across the bay from you. maybe 5-10. Very private sturdy old beach houses. Just a few of them are for rent but its sorta rough. Electric works off of generators, BYO water etc. You dock on the west side of the island and have to hike or 4 wheel your stuff over sand dunes to the ocean side. You need to arrive by boat so your car is back in town across the bay. The bugs there will eat you alive if you pick the wrong week or wrong wind. If you can handle that it is a great place to disapear for a week. Very natural area with good fishing and privacy on the ocean and the back bay.

Thanks all! I'll be on the net and phone this week!
Capt, Charles Stant, specializes in Trout, and Tarpon. Great guy, basic boat and basic tackle...
get you on the fish and knows the area well after years of crabbing, oystering and fishing the area.
Meets you at the ramp and drops you back off with your catch.
As I said, basic catching is what his specialtiy is...
He fishes out of a large open carolina skiff. If you might be interested.
