Next best thing to fishing is talking fishing... I have been chating with my fishing buddies and were makeing plans for a few trips... One is to haul the boat to HI for some jigging and trolling ( Blue and black fin ).. May try to do that at the next weather window,, Next Monday I may head up to the Mountains and do a little fly fishing. I have a few spots that I fished last year west of charlotsville,.. Then the shad should be running soon on the Rapp and the James. I can't wait to get back down to deltaville... Need to see some reports from you guys down there.. let me know when the croker are in.... When do you think there wil be fish in the area around the Whitestone ????? Spring striper ??? Croker??

well now let's see....we'll begin here shortly, the next few weekends into that warm, to pier/beach fish the DVL Rapp for some croaker to freeze whole and save for the crab pots in May...then we get the boat waxed real well and tune up that 200 merc with some new plugs, lower unit oil, etc... to start getting excited about the whole notion of the water world we love down there...after that well it'll be early April then and can't forget the garden project so we can eat those fresh vegees we grow...yea that enough thinking for now to get us through this late winter thing...

Hey Capt. Neil - not sure if you heard the latest, I have pneumonia. I'm jacked up on meds but may not be ready to go in time for the next weather window out of HI. I talked to Lou and he's tentatively planning on going this Saturday. They had a great day last week with a lot of variety and even a few blackfin mixed in. Lou said they had soy & wasabi on hand and they enjoyed the fresh sashimi. Man I need some of that.

All I know is I'm fishing next Monday. I don't know were yet but I'll have a plan. Get some rest Hank .... You got a long fishing season ahead and you want to be in tip top shape. We hit em all
