View Full Version : Lead pouring get together??
Was looking at pouring some lead and thought maybe a Bull Island Anglers lead pouring party would be fun. Thinking next weekend or the weekend after? That is of course if it is not fishable. I have some lead, a few molds (jig head and sinker), and I also have a electric pouring pot for the smaller stuff. Also have a cast iron pot for the bigger items. Of course the more molds and lead we have the better. I guess we can do it at my house. Either shed or garage. Post up on here if you're interested.

I have a production pot and a few molds and some lead. . . I am willing to spend a few hours one afternoon pouring. Especially if there are molds there that I don't have.

you should have been at the PFG flea mkt on Feb 14 & 15.Plenty of molds for sale.Maybe when the Essex/Middle river flea mkt comes up (march 21,22,you might find molds for sale.

I am up for it. Have a mold than can do bucktail from 1/4 to 1 oz with 7/0 hooks for folks interested in wirelining bucktails, 1.5 and 2 oz stingsilver mold, in-line sinker molds from 1oz to 12 oz and shad jig head molds for 1/4 to 3/4 oz.

I had the shad dart molds for 1/32 and 1/64 and sold them.As luck would have it,I got an order for3,000 shad darts and the guy is going lend me the molds back to fill this order.I also had the 1/8 and 1/4 oz shad dart mold but none for me to make.Seems everyboby likes the smaller shad darts.
Folks, I'll be playing in the garage tomorrow morning. Making rods and pouring lead. If any one wants to come over and pour with me just show up. I'll probably start around 10:00am. I have a big pot with a ladel, an electric pot and I have molds for egg sinkers, bank sinkers, and several jigs, also have a inglot mold. I have a 5 gallon bucket about 3/4 full of lead and plan on pouring most if not all of it.
For those that want to join me, you're more than welcome to my molds or you can bring your own if you have them. The more molds we have the better. Also if you have some lead to melt bring that as well.
