Per Washington Post Financial section on 3-4-09. Ritz Camera Centers. the largest camera store chain. asked a bankruptcy judge for approval to hold an auction of assets at it's 130 Boater's World stores. The company is seeking both going-concern and liquidation bids and has already begun soliciting "expressions of interest" in the assets, according to papers filed Feb. 27 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, De. I was in the Hilltop store late Wednesday the 4th and there was no indication of this.

Until this is made offical, I wouldn`t buy any high-end electronics
from BW. If something is wrong with the item you maybe stuck
with no back-up..Lowrance products would probably not fall into
the "BLACK PIT OF BANKRUPTCY" since the co. backs their products..
