I'm glad to see them mention this: "Excess algae also results from having too few filter feeding organisms, such as oysters and menhaden." Doesn't that make you wonder if we have too much algae or if the whole problem is not enough filter feeders? Maybe everybody is a little too quick to blame pollution, especially since nutrient levels have remained the same for a long time now. We'll never find out until we stop harvesting oysters, menhaden and clams for a while. Things that make you go hmmmm...
