Joey McNichols guides out of Everglade City @ Glades Haven and is very good. If you book him tell him Bill Corrigan told you so. I can also take you out and suggest March when the big tarpon arrive.

How bad is the hurricane damage in Naples? Did the public pier survive? Has the fishing recovered?

fished with bubby hale from marco a couple years ago and had a great time. not sure which marina he runs out of now but look him up. very nice guy and will put you on the fish. also very willing to answer questions and give some good advice.

The pier was opened a day or two after the hurricane and had no damage. Several years ago they hurricane proofed the pier by replacing the last wooding pilings by concrete ones.
The last time I visited the pier was on oct. 30th, not a lot of fisherman around due to murky water / 20mph winds.
People did catch Snook and Redfish on the pier though.
