Leaving at 4:00 am Saturday morning, the observation at the Chesapeake Light Tower was SW 25, but there wasn't much wind inshore. With an up and down forecast, the Rudee Angler and the Rudee Whaler left Rudee Inlet and headed east. As we arrived at the Norfolk Canyon, we were greeted with SW winds at about 18. The water temperature sat near 48.7 degrees. Not a good sign for the dog sharks! But my crew weeded through the dogs, catching nice blueline tiles and sea bass. There were only four boats offshore that day. By noon the wind dropped out to nothing. We ended the day with a another great catch! We registered 20 citation tiles up to 17 lbs, 7 ozs with many more over 10 lbs. We also had sea bass up to 5 lbs, and one big snowy grouper. The ride in was beautiful!
Thanks to all our customers for being very patient dealing with all the sharks!!
