If you know nothing about jigging and have no expectations of learning anything you are welcome!!!
I will try and put it together for Saturday afternoon/evening again.
I will share my limited knowledge of rigging, connections, leader construction, jigs, rods/reels and jigging technique with you all!!!

Obviously the wounds run deep. Maybe its just his way of injecting levity into the situation. However, my jigging knowledge is limited and I could probably benefit from a below average seminar.

What happened to people posting reports and helpful information? It's like a bad soap opera on here now. I've been on this site for over 6 years and all the good people get scared off because of silly drama. I've ordered Hoo's through Lou in the past and the guy spends a lot of personal time offering help to others in general. Haters are everywhere; even at your seminar i'm sure...

Im not hating at all. The previous topic was finished with about 4 text messages between Lou and I. If im not mistaking I think the last message was something like "It was a joke man. Everything is cool" coming from Lou. So...I would have thought done deal. Everything was supposed to be finished and no hard feelings.

I meant to change my sig because the joking was indeed over, I was just having fun. I was busy finalizing our march bait order and got side tracked. I fixed it.

Soap opera is right. Your adding to it. Who cares if he orders ballyhoo. The only reason he does it is so HIS bait is FREE. Chum should have started his last post like this one. Lets get together and talk about jigging. For what its worth Ben is no expert either.

How about a "Shot Gun Shoot Off", six paces with a shotgun, and the winner will be the only one left, and he will be THE MAN.
Why don't you guys go have a beer together, or tie some rigs together, or fish together, something...

It did get out of hand. I would love to get together and talk jigging over a couple beers with fellow tfr's. I respect the people who stayed out of it because it was childish, but i dont think it was originally meant to be that way. With the economy the way it is we need to enjoy every chance we have to fish and talk fishing.

Just kicking back & taking a short break. We have the small Bluefins around but not worth chasing with the small quotas. Just waiting for more consistent water conditions to make up along the 100 to bring in more species & we will be hitting it as much as the weather allows this spring ------on!!
I did however get out there off VB last Thursday on a friends boat for the deep drop thing. Lots of fun & work but also lots of great eating meat. What a fantastic winter fishery. We ended with a box full of grouper, Sea bass, & Rose fish But the dogs hindered most of our tile efforts. I learned a good bit out there & plan to try this more this season in our canyons out of OI on slower days this year. I just wish I had been able to have my bottom machine out there the other day so I could see what to look for on my boat in the future. Gonna have to just hunker down & put in some bottom lock X6 time up around the 800 & above this year till I find some rewards to gain confidence on the marks. Using jigs instead of meat & big sinkers will help ease the learning curve a bit hopefully.

Hit n Run , Best of luck to ya this season , lookin forward to some great reports from ya! Also best of luck to all who may be reading this ! I don't post much , but I have learned alot & met some good quality people from this board. Some one wrote that capt ben doesn't know alot about jigging, ( or something to that effect )this may be true , but Ben is yet a young lion in this sport that we all love! Ben has the same addiction that we all have when it comes to chasing Gamefish around! I have read more post from Ben on catchin nice size Blackfins than most.does this mean he is the only one out there catching? of coarse not , but he is one of the few posting tuna cathes while jigging for them. Did ben jump the gun on lou's thread ? only that is known between the two of them. I am glad to see Ben standing his ground . I can tell each and everyone of you out there that if Ben stays on track he will be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to this great sport of ours. I am in no ways knocking lou , I do not know the man , from the reports that I have read , Lou has proved himself as a good fisherman as well! Let this be between Ben & lou. Ben is a young man capable of workin things out with others , no need for anyone else jumpin in! for those who go to lou's for the jiggin seminar , I hope alot of good info is learned! Ben if you read this , I think I can arrange a pretty good person for you to talk with when the time is rite. This gentleman I know you could say , "Wrote the Book" on The art of jigging!!!! Maybe a road trip to his shop is needed this year as well! Once again good luck to EVERYONE this season , be safe & catch them UP !!!!!
