We knew we had them but here is my proof.Look at the times on pic.He was 2 mins behind her.And I bet he ain't alone.I'm going to go after him with a buddy who has all the goodies to call.I'm sure he won't show. This is why we could not find any rabbits in this area.
NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!

Yea Jeff, they are everywhere! We killed 2 @ our hunt club this year in Buckingham that got flushed out during drives! I shot one with the muzzelloader 2 years ago and had 2 together get by me the previous year. A few of our members have been predator hunting the past 2 seasons - killed probably 20 or so fox but not one coyote has shown itself! Good luck and hope he or she shows up but don't count on it!
Later,
DB

Jeff, Get on them quick my friend! The farm we hunt in WVA is covered up with them. Only a few a couple of years ago now they are everywhere. After our annual week trip this year everyone noted how there were very few does with fawns? Tons of adult deer in the woods but no young dear? Go Figure? I have been on the owner to allow a yot hunter/trapper to go in there and make a dent, but he just doesn't think it is needed. I fear the banner hunting on his place is short lived.

If it weren't for the 7+hour drive one way I would go back for just this purpose...

Where about was this picture taken? I am in Southern Maryland and have heard rumors but never seen proof of their existence. Thanks!

They are alot of them now in Cecil County...last year, while deer hunting, I could hear them yelping all over the place.

I hunt along the Blackwater river (Seward Tract) about 5 miles from where this photo was taken. I saw one moving briskly on the morning of opening day of muzzleloader season . I thought about turning him into a quiver but didn't shoot because I was concerned about the shot spooking any nearby deer. I've been kicking my own behind for the last 4 months... We saw a lot fewer deer and deer sign on that tract than we usually do.

We did have fairly good rabbit hunting in late Jan./ early Feb. so I suppose we aren't yet overrun with them. I found a big pile of yote scat filled with gray hair on another nearby tract off Route 601. It had a small tooth and some bone fragments in it. Looked like squirrel remains...

Bobcat populaton seems up too. I shot 2 in one morning in mid-December--a mature female and one from last spring's litter. One more got away...

Fifteen years ago the only fur-bearing predators that I saw in the area were foxes, nearly all gray. Not many around now. Getting run off and out-competed, I suppose...
