Are you in MD? I think if you can get to a reservoir, there is a good bite on jerkbaits right now. Check out my report from 3/17. My brother and father made it out without me yesterday and caught 17 bass up to 20.5", a pike, and a perch. Most on lucky craft pointer 65DD's.
Good luck catching wherever you decide to go.

Mike,
What ones are you allowed a gas outboard to be on your boat? I have a trolling motor
but also a big outboard

I think you can have the outboard on the boat, just need to tilt it up. We have a 40 on ours, but use the bow mount and a transom mount next to the outboard. Rocky Gorge and Tridelphia both require WSSC permits. The Baltimore area ones (Liberty, Prettyboy, Loch Raven) require something else. I think you need to say you won't use your boat anywhere else, not sure though. If you're in Montgomery County, I think you can fish Black Hills. In Carroll County there is Piney Run.
Good Luck,
Mike
PS - Lou - we caught a small northern pike on Wednesday, and another on Saturday.

I am thinking about going to the Potomac myself, sometimes the fishing can be pretty good this time of year ! Don't know what to do, Trout opens this weekend too
