Upper Potomac one musky and one smallmouth

Went out Sunday to break in a new motor/boat and did some fishing also. Ended up catching (almost) my first musky ever, about 24 inches long, but bit me off at the boat. :rolleyes: Also caught a nice fat 17 inch smallmouth. Caught both on a large Mepps spinner with yellow hair. Water temp peaked out at 50.4. There were people skiing from a jet ski and a ski boat. :eek2:

Hit whites ferry sat, one bite on an inline mepps. was a good fish but didn't land it.

Congrats on a nice Smallmouth. Where were you fishing? I have been hunting a Musky up there for a while now with no success. 50 degrees is a little insane for skiing! :confused:
