I guess these people owe the bank a lot more than the boat is worth and can't sell them. Shame when this happens. Sounds like Bell Isle is willing to work with them though.

I'd be willing to be this problem is more widespread than Bell Isle. There are several boats in our marina too that stopped paying slip fees so the managers are trying to salvage what they can to at least open up the slip to a paying customer. If people walk away from their mortgage then they won't hesitate to walk away from their boat payment. Sign of the times I guess.
