Caught a few Hickory Shad for baiy and thought I would bother the catfish.
Some of the Hickory Shad had nasty baby lampreys attached. Sorry about the quality of the Lamprey pctures. Those tiny teeth are flat out gross.
First Hole a 51 pounder and a 22. Second hole gave me two 30's. Off the river at noon.

Nice 50+!!!!!!!!!!!! Those lamprey ARE nasty.
I haven't been on the water since last week:((
This working thing is really starting to get in the way of my fishing:yes:

Yeah, I caught a Hickory today with a lamprey on its head. It was the first one I have ever seen. It looks like an eel and a leach got their groove on and gave birth. Nasty bugger.

Are lamphrey some kind of blood suckers ,, like a leach ?
I caught a fish last year and one was on it ,
Didn't know what it was , but was vert UGLY ,,
I put a size 10 on it and kept fishing
