Hey Guys,

It has been a while since I posted but I need a quick favor. It looks like the wife is letting me go to the Keys for a vacation. Obviously it is a dream land for fishing and letting the wife relax.

I have to move fast because it is short notice and we were going down the week before Easter on April 4th. I will check the search board for past information, but if you guys have any recommendation, locations, numbers, charter capts, marinas, places to stay, it would be wonderful. I have never been there before, but from my reading I am thinking in the Islamorada to Marathon area.

I would love to get a motel or cabana on the beach area, near a pool and marina type thing. We want to lite tackle fish for a few days, lounge by the pool and beach for a few and tour around for a few. And eat well by the waterside.

Many thanks for any info. I originally posted on the Chesapeake board but this on might have more focus on the Keys........

Thanks again,

Pat

The Ragged Edge in Ilamorada!! Ive been staying there for the past 6 years. Mike (the owner) is a great guy and will bend over backwards to make your stay pleasant. You can get on their website, and read the reviews. If you like, you can fish right off their sea wall and catch mangrove snapprs. I've even hooked a few tarpon there. Many great restaurants in Ilsamorada, our favorite is Lazy Days great food at reasonable prices.

For places to stay, check out VRBOŽ is Vacation Rentals By Owner (http://www.vrbo.com) (Vacation Rental by Owner). We stay in the Futura Yacht Club in Islamorada... very reasonable. I'll "second" Lazy Dayz for dinner. Also, go to Bob's Buns for breakfast... and the Lore-Lai for sunset cocktails.
