Ok ...... so I've been lucky by not having to use E10 till now. Used to get regular gas I would get in PA or on the way to CBBT but now everything is E10. So now I have to switch and I'm looking for some good advise.

The boat is a 1991 and the tank is fine but I don't think it has been cleaned so there might be some gunk and the 50 gal tank is less than half full with a bunch of startron preservative.

What should I do ....... should I just fill the tank and forget it ......... should I pump out the regular and fill it with E10 or should I put in 10 gallons of E10 and a cleaner and take a bumpy ride and pump it out again to start with a clean tank ........

Any suggestions ......

You'll get as many opinions as there are people. I had 140 gallons of regular gas and added 70 of E-10 when the change came about and had no ill effect. I did have 10 micron filters and ran stabilizer and Startron 24/7. 900 hours later and not a hiccup. If you've been running Startron, I'd just add some more and top it off and take it for a good run. Hopefully you have the 10 micron filter and some spares. Startron also makes a tank cleaner which isn't very expensive. Good luck.

I guess I was lucky or the Startron works. Everytime I added gas, I added Startron,(blue bottle) Never had a problem, no clogged filters, nothing. When I put it away for the winter it was Startron and Stabill, good to go every spring. Use it, you'll be OK.
