yes....but no more than that....that is the legal maximum! make sure your buoys are marked with your name on them!

Those of you that have done this:
Is it too much soak time to run all that stuff? Is there such a thing as too much soak time between pulls? Within reason of course...
I am going to start running a snood line this year and thought about taking traps along as well--maybe using them to scout areas a bit if the area where I layed my line is slow--or to put them on some of the smaller points

Hans, If you are going to run the 1200' snood line, I would run some traps first to determine where to lay the snood. Laying the snood and then running traps to scout is counter productive. It all depends on the day as to weather it is too much soak time. If they are running good, you should stay on the line because they will slack off and that's the time to run the traps. I will take a ride, eat lunch or a nap if it is slow...........Gary

On most days the early morning bite is usually the best, so you want your trotline in the water & working at the earliest legal time. but don't forget your traps. unless the crabs are really plentiful. you won't have too much soak time if you run your trotline & then your traps

I run my traps parrallel to my trot line. I run the line, and on the way back to the other end Pull the traps. I like to use my trap buoys to protect my trotline. I also usually take both my kids, so they take turns. I put the traps on the deeper side of my line, gives me more coverage, I think.
